For the first time ever, we visited San Fernando Castle in Alicante! The castle, also referred to as Sant Ferran (Valencian) looks out over the city of Alicante, and served as a defense against the French back in the day. In the distance, we can see the much bigger castle Santa Barbara, which is a well-known tourist location. The San Fernando castle in Alicante has two entrances, a main entrance (which is really steep!), and 'back entrance', that offers stunning views of the city of Alicante!
