This multi-day festival typically takes place in mid-November, with many events, parades, religious ceremonies, and cultural activities dedicated to the patron saints, especially focusing on the Virgen del Sufragio.

The patron saint of Benidorm, Spain, is Saint James (Santiago) and Our Lady of the Suffrage (Virgen del Sufragio). These two figures are highly revered in Benidorm, and the city celebrates their feast days with various local festivities, particularly during the annual Benidorm Patron Saint Festivities (Fiestas Patronales) held in November.
The story of Our Lady of the Suffrage is tied to a local legend from the 18th century. Legend has it that a mysterious boat washed ashore with an image of the Virgin Mary, which was later declared as a miracle, and enshrined as the town's co-patron.
