Join us on our walk to the Albir lighthouse

 

This time we're taking a charming walk from the parking lot Faro de l'Albir to the Albir lighthouse! The trek is about 5km/3 miles (there and back), from the easy to reach parking lot. Parking is free and is right at the entrance of the Serra Gelada nature park. The park itself is open 24 hours and also free! The lighthouse however was open from 10am to 1:30pm. Opening hours vary, depending on the season. So, if you decide to go, make sure you're there around 10, 11 am. That gives you plenty of time to walk to the lighthouse.

It has a little museum inside, which is, you guessed it: free as well. You can make it a great day without spending anything at all!

Along the way, you can not only see beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea, but also incredible mountain ranges and rock formations!

Our walk to the Albir lighthouse was in mid- October and we were lucky enough to capture some incredible pictures and videos along the way.

It looked like it was a cloudy day that day. After we visited the lighthouse the cloud cover cleared up and it was sunny for the rest of the day!

Final verdict: The trek is not too long, and not too short. There's plenty to see along the way to the lighthouse. Also, the roads are very accessible!
