Magic Natura Review: Benidorm's Zoo And Aqua Park Resort

We've stayed at Magic Natura Resort twice recently. The first time was July 2023 and the most recent was May 2024. Speaking from experience, this place is made for summer sunshine versus cool spring breezes. That said, there are pros and cons to consider when it comes to the timing of your stay.

While the weather was just right for taking a dip in one of the many pools and venturing over to Aqua Natura (which is included in the price), booking for July means higher prices and bigger crowds. In fact, it was nearly triple what we paid for our May visit. Then again, booking for May means taking the risk that the pools might still be too chilly for swimming, which was the case during our most recent stay.

Now that the date details are out of the way, let's take a closer look at what's included and what to expect if you are thinking about booking at this resort.

The Magic Natura Experience

One of the highlights for us was the bungalows. This is a view from ours, which overlooked the herb garden and the back of the elephant enclosure, as well as the "India" section of Terra Natura (the zoo entrance was also included in the fee).

Our bungalow included a small terrace with a couple of chairs, a table, a hanging rack, and a comfy swing. The only little gripe we had about it was that it overlooked the neighbors' terrace and front windows. So, there wasn't much privacy.

Our lodgings were spacious and came with two small bedrooms, a Jack and Jill bathroom, and a cozy living room with a mini-fridge and microwave. There was also a coffee maker and sink area.

There's plenty to see once you leave your bungalow, even if the zoo and aqua park aren't your thing. This is actually a mural that we saw being painted during our July stay.

We opted for their Ultra All-Inclusive package, which included all of the drinks and meals, as well as snacks. We were also able to eat our meals in the premium buffet, which was much quieter and didn't have the long lines we'd heard about in the main dining room. These are the outdoor seating areas where you can enjoy a cold drink in the Spanish sun. Overall, the food at the buffets was good, if not a little repetitive during our 4-night stay.

We'll do another blog dedicated to Aqua Natura, but it's really one of the main perks of staying at Magic Natura. They have several water slides as well as loungers. Normally, the loungers are a paid extra, but they're also part of the resort price.

The largest pool in the park is often barricaded off, as the back portion is used for their mermaid school and paddle boarding classes.

There's a large lighthouse alongside the pool that's nearby the sea lions. You can sometimes hear them as you're lounging. The park also has an exclusive snack bar for those staying at Magic Natura that has a few items, like hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and slushies (granizados).

Back at the resort, we enjoyed time in the pool area (even though the water was a tad too chilly in May). There's also a pool bar where you can get the free drinks that were included in their all-inclusive plan.

Stroll through the Terra Natura Zoo to get to the Aqua park.

The zoo itself is a pretty good size, but there are short cuts you can take to get to the water park quicker.

Along the way to Aqua Natura you may encounter some elephants!

To wrap things up, we would definitely stay at Magic Natura again. However, it would be in the summertime when you can fully enjoy all of the amenities. Something we want to point out and don't have images for is the service. Overall, the staff members were attentive but there were some exceptions. A highlight for us was the waiters at the premium buffet. A lowlight was a few of the room attendants/maid staff that rolled their eyes every time we asked for even minor things or reported small issues.

Are you planning on staying at Magic Natura? If so, we're happy to answer any questions you have that aren't addressed in this post.
